I build spaces where people can be human together, even when it’s hard.

That’s the short version. The longer version involves a doctorate in clinical psychology, a decade of organizational consulting, and an unexpected pivot into virtual reality that changed how I think about connection, conflict, and what it means to show up for each other.

I’m a social scientist and conflict resiliency trainer. I created the DOT Model (Deepen, Orient, Transform), a framework for navigating conflict that honors the nervous system and treats repair as a skill we can actually learn. I teach it in VR, in workshops, and anywhere people are willing to get a little uncomfortable in service of growth.

I’ve built hundreds of immersive experiences in social VR, some of which ended up owned by companies like Meta. I co-founded the Horizon Creator Community, one of the largest community-led groups in Meta Horizon Worlds, focused on centering diverse voices. My work has been featured in technical.ly and the Oculus blog for its emphasis on belonging and inclusive culture.

But here’s what the professional bio doesn’t capture: I’m endlessly curious about the weird edges of technology and humanity. What happens when someone falls in love with an AI? What do trolls actually want? What does it look like to build restorative justice tools in virtual space?

I don’t have clean answers. I have experiments, research logs, and a willingness to sit in the mess. Below is a video made by a documentarian on how delicate and valuable connective spaces are in VR, and a segment by yours truly on what we all might be doing in this interconnected consciousness space.

Right now I’m building BridgeMakers, a leadership cooperative focused on resilient community design across social VR, video, and wherever people show up for hard conversations. I’m also the founder of Figure It In LLC, through which I consult with leaders and organizations moving through conflict, trust events, and cultural strain. The work on this site and on BridgeMakers are related, one is more like a portfolio, one is collective. Both are real.

I believe conflict is information. I believe technology can help us become better humans, if we’re intentional about it. And I believe the most transformative spaces are the ones where people feel safe enough to be honest.

If you’re heard about me, you’re probably curious about something too. Let’s see where it goes.
